<p><strong><span style="color: #008080;">Ingredients</span></strong></p>
<p>125g softened butter<br />
1C soft brown sugar<br />
1 ½ C flour<br />
1 egg<br />
1C dark chocolate drops</p>
<p><span style="color: #008080;"><strong>Directions</strong></span></p>
<p>Pre-heat the oven to 180º</p>
<p>Cream butter and sugar together in a bowl until pale in colour.  Add the egg and mix well.  Stir in sifted flour and chocolate.</p>
<p>Place teaspoon sized balls onto a greased baking tray and cook for approximately 10-12 minutes.</p>

<p>Try milk or white chocolate instead of dark, or add sultanas for a healthy option.</p>

Combine dried fruit and all other ingredients except for the fresh pears and yoghurt in a heavy based saucepan. Bring to the boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Add the diced fresh pears and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick and leave the compote to cool.</p>
<p>Serve either warm or cold with the yoghurt.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In a non stick fry pan, melt a small amount of butter. Pour in enough mixture to coat the entire base of the frying pan and cook on a low heat for 1-2 minutes per side, until bubbles burst on the surface.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">For something different, try adding sliced bananas, blueberries or strawberries to the batter in the pan.</p>
