		<description>Wow - that&#039;s a tough question to answer &quot;off the bat&quot;. Without knowing the ins and outs it&#039;s really hard for me to comment on that. As a first port of call, I&#039;d always encourage parents to try and work out their &quot;differences&quot; on their own (if they can&#039;t do it for themselves - then they need to try harder for the children). A family law court is going to ask the same of the parents and if they can&#039;t resolve it themselves they will be pointed to mediation sessions.

If, after all that, they are still unable to reach a suitable outcome, then it will go to court. So, in a nutshell, if nothing else works then - yes - get an attorney, but try try TRY to sort things out as adults first. If not for you (or the sibling) do it for the kid.
