Apple Cake

Ingredients
2 granny smith apples
1 C brown sugar
125g butter
1 egg
½ C sultanas
1 ¼ C wholemeal flower
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp allspice
½ tsp nutmeg

Directions
Preheat oven to 180ºc

Peel, core and slice apples thinly. Place in a bowl and cove with sugar. Melt butter, then add the egg and mix well. Add to the apples and sugar. Stir in the sultanas and sifted dry ingredients until just mixed. Line cake tin and bake for 35-45 minutes.

Dust with icing sugar.
